The Manatee PC Users Group board has set up a tool to keep MPCUG members informed of late breaking developments. An MPCUG message and email center has been set up on Yahoo/Egroups. If you are interested in taking part in this message list serve, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MPCUG/join
NOTE: A list serve differs from email. When you respond to a message or send a message, the message is sent to all of the members who have signed up, not just the member who sent it.
If you aren’t already a Yahoo member, you will have to sign up and pick a name and password. Be sure to write these down where you can find them. You’ll need them to sign on. You will receive notices of importance to members that are too late for the newsletter.
This is for MPCUG members only.
If you have trouble signing up, send an e-mail to me at editor@manateepcug.org, and I will send you an invitation to join. Once you have your membership established, be certain to go in and edit your marketing preferences. This will help you prevent unsolicited email from the Yahoo advertisers. You will be responsible for keeping your e-mail address current. There is an area for uploading files that might be of general interest, such as hints and tips, and virus alerts. If you’re not happy with the list, you always have the option to unsubscribe.
The new membership application can be filled in on-line and printed on your home printer. Mail the two completed and signed forms along with your check when you are requesting a new membership or renewing your current one. Your new membership card will be sent to you by US mail.
To get the Adobe PDF reader click here to go to the Adobe WEB site to download the reader. Be sure to read all of the instructions and uncheck the unwanted additional programs that may be offered. Only the most current news reader is necessary. Click on the membership form above to display the new PDF form.
